Being a Greater Vancouver realtor and mortgage broker has its ups and downs, but I truly enjoy my job. The latter half of 2022 was particularly challenging for sales, even more so than during the Covid pandemic, but fortunately, things quickly took a turn for the better. This year will require a strong focus and consultancy to end with a record-breaking year, and I'm happy to say that we're off to a great start.

I urge you to disregard the media's fear-mongering and pursue your ambitions in real estate. This is an opportune time to enter the market before the next boom, which I predict will occur sooner than you think.

Alternatively, now is a great time to upgrade before the next boom. Interest rates are expected to remain low over the next 12 months. In 2023, approximately 800,000 new immigrants arrived in Canada, with another 500,000 expected in 2023, 2024, and 2025. However, with our current housing crisis and record-low inventory, we simply don't have enough homes to accommodate them. This means that home prices and rental rates will continue to rise.
